Live Laugh Love

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
♥ So love the people who treat you right.
♥ Forget about the one's who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.~

Don't Be Offended By Trouble

When trouble hits, you need to decide to get bitter or better,
a decision to go under or go on!

To enjoy your life you must trust GOD.

Thats all.

Pecking Order

What is your pecking order. The order you are loyal too with family and friends.

You know God, Husband, Kids? Work, Family, Religion?

I am struggling with this today. How do you stay loyal to one family member without pissing off another.

The Moment

What was yesterdays moment. The ah ha minute that was a positive force. Was it a person, a saying, a smell, a food, a thought.

I know you had one, did you recognize it.

We have many a day, we don't always see them, we don't always use them, there is always at least one that makes a difference, makes us have a little smile.

Look for that moment today, check and see if you used it yesterday. We only have so many of these ah ha's don't waste them by not seeing them.

Fast Cheap and Easy

Do you remember when a Cheap Date was fast and easy. When did you become fast and easy and cheap. Doesn't your body and your family deserve better. Now get your mind out of the gutter, I am talking about your food.

If you didn't watch Oprah today, you missed a good show on the food industry.

Of course it should be your decision to choose the way to feel, but don't take everyone at their word, check it out for yourselves and choose wisely.

Why?

Why is it we feel the need to explain our feelings, why or how others mistreated us.

If only we could find our way to love others, unconditionally. If only we could transform ourselves to believe they our worthy of our love.

This is just so hard when they hurt you or someone you love. So no excuses. This is not forgetting what they have done, but it is healing ourselves by not letting them control our feelings.

We can not stop feeling but we can choose to ignore those feelings that don't make us feel so good, and find good things about just about anyone, regardless of what they have done.

Words are more powerful than feelings so find powerful positive words to speak.

There really is justice somewhere in this world and we can influence it with our attitudes.

Unbelieveable!

Can you believe I have not posted since Friday.
WOW where did the weekend go. I attended Indoor Soccer game on Friday night, Bath 5-6th grade, Allen East Varisity and then Allen East 5th and then 6th grade girls basketball games on Saturday. I also went to the Baths 5-6th grade boys basketball on Sunday. Of course they were all over the county and more also. Elida, Allen East, Cory Rawson, Cairo. I guess thats what you get when you have so many grandkids. I am gamed out.

Today Taylor was a pain, she is cutting molars and also had a few other problems so spent the majority of the day on my lap. So this is the first chance I have had to even do much on the computer.

Have any of you seen CHA sneak peaks that you can't wait for. My wants are the sizzix dies from Tim Holtz.
So what are you wishing for?

I am so cold today, with the weather changing back to winter after our few days of spring peaking through.
So I am going to wrap up in my snuggle and watch the tube.
Hopefully I will have something worthwhile to say tomorrow.

Reason Seasons Lifetimes

People come into your life for a Reason a Season or a Lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your partor at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in orderto have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a Reason, a Season or a Lifetime.

Sketches for February

Here are the sketches for February. We will be doing three two page spreads but I only have sketches for two of the spreads. The third spread is the bulletin board pages that have been done before.

I decided that the sports page is too ambitious with having to do the 3 sets of pages. So we will be doing that page in March.

Woman

Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater, give her sperm she will make a baby, give her a house she will give you a home, give her groceries she will give you a meal, give her a smile she will give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what she is given. So if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit...

Jealousy

Are you DECEIVING youself?
Do you have jealousy in your life?
Who are you jealous of, what are you jealous of?

Stop trying overcome your jealousy and ask God to make you kinder, a better friend, a more caring person.

By turning our short comings over to God, and asking for help to become a better person, we can have more energy to develop our assets.

February's Class

We talked about having club on February 7 or on the 21, if I am not mistaken the 7th is Super Bowl. So how many of you have a problem with coming to class on the superbowl day?

Deceit

This weeks my word is:

DECEIT

"All imposture weakens confidence and chills benevolence." Johnson

noun
1. the act or practice of deceiving; concealment or distortion of the truth for the purpose of misleading; duplicity; fraud; cheating: Once she exposed their deceit, no one ever trusted them again.
2. an act or device intended to deceive; trick; stratagem.
3. the quality of being deceitful; duplicity; falseness: a man full of deceit.

Are you exploring my words or choosing your own words to explore?

There is power in words, so find the definitions, use them in a sentence, find out the power the word is having in your life. Then pray about that word. Let God decide whether you will allow the word to stay and be a part of your life, or you will dispose of the word. Words do define who your are.

Web Sites

Hey girls.

Need to do some lighter posts, just need to get my mind around scrapping. So what are your favorites.
What scrapbook places do you go to and read message boards or get inspiration?

I would really like to find some nice sites with real pages on them. Most of all that I am seeing on my links are the one photo only and don't look right converted to add more photos. Would love to find some nice pages with more photos on them.

Class Today

Class is today. Hope to see all of you here.

Cream of Tomato Soup and Cream of Potato soup are on the menu.

It is foggy but hopefully that will lift by the time class starts. If the temp does not get high enough there could still be some ice in my drive way so please be careful when getting out of your vehicles.

I do have a cold and laryngitis again, so just wanted to warn anyone who might be worried.

See you soon.

Evil Games

Has EVIL touched your life?
It is lurking all around us. Is shows up in our lifes and so often we don't recognize it. Evil can wear all kinds of masks.
Anyone can be overcome by EVIL and beleive it to be just.

Beleiving in Gods mercy and grace is the only solution to combat EVIL. It can be done but not always in the time frame we wish for.

Please pray for the knowledge to see and respond to this evil that is stalking us.
Please pray for protection for the victims who can not speak for themselves.
This evil has lots of knowledge to destroy many things.

Healthy Eating

I know several of my family and friends have mentioned starting a healthy eating program at the New Year.
How is it still going. We are about two weeks in, I do feel most didn't start until the 4th though.

Well do you fall into the "diet trap". Do you beleive all the hype about the healthy foods, and the 100 calorie snacks?

First why do we have to snack all day long?

Second what kind of nutrition is in the food we put in our bodies?
Most of the 100 calorie snacks have no nutional value.

Here are a few 100 calorie snacks that are good for you:

1. Half an apple with 2 teaspoons of peanut butter
2. An orange and a few dry-roasted nuts
3. 10 cashew nuts
4. 10 almonds
5. 2 ounces of lean roast beef
6. Half a small avocado
7. 3 ounces cooked whole-grain noodles with 1 fresh tomato and 1/2 ounce hard cheese
8. 1 seven-grain Belgian waffle
9. 4 mini rice cakes with 2 tablespoons low-fat cottage cheese
10. 3 ounces low-fat cottage cheese and 3 whole-wheat crackers
11. 1/4 cup fat-free ranch dressing with mixed raw veggies
12. 6 Wheat Thins crackers with two teaspoons of peanut butter (or any nut butter)13. 1 small baked potato with 1/2 cup salsa and 2 tablespoons of fat-free sour cream
14. 1/3 cup of unsweetened applesauce with 1 slice of whole-wheat toast, cut into 4 strips for dunking
15. 1/2 cup frozen orange juice, eaten as sorbet
16. 2 large graham cracker squares with 1 teaspoon peanut butter
17. 3 handfuls of unbuttered popcorn, seasoned with herbs
18. 4-6 ounces of no-fat or low-fat yogurt
19. A 5-ounce tossed salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and 1/4 cup fat-free dressing
20. Half a "finger" of string cheese with 4 whole-wheat crackers

Those who show up at my house can expect to never see a somewhat picked up house again, Taylor is BUSY!!!!!

So what can I do to make money, any sugg

Celebrate!

Saturday I returned once again to my families favorite funeral home. I can still remember when Chiles and Sons built their new building on Spencerville Road. Daddy's family had always used Chiles and Sons. Not sure why, except customer service was phenomenal.
We had Mom and Dads 25 wedding anniversary party in the basement. A great gathering room, very reasonable priced.(free) But I still have a problem going to any visitation at that site.

This time though I knew the person, I only had the normal sadness when someone has fought a good fight against a terrible illness and loss. It also made me think how much closer all of us are to this stage.

But the neatest thing was, the people at the funeral home were celebrating Norma's Life!
Yep a bit of grief, a bit of sadness, a bit of how am I going on without her, but they were celebrating her LIFE! Photos, and scrapbooks, and music, and people all reminded you of the great person she was, what she had done in her life, and how she celebrated life as she lived.

Several of us said that is what we want when it is our turn.
Now it is up to us to take care of that. As hard as it is, make the plans now, write them down. Then there will be no questions, when people are dealing with their own emotions.
Plan you life celebration now.
Your life celebration while you are living and your life celebration when you are gone.

This weeks word is Celebration!

This weeks word is Celebration.

Challenge

Take and print some photos this week. Make a scrapbook page the old fashion way.
It must have a title, a journaling box, an ebellishment spot and matted photos.

It also has to use green, blue and kraft for the colors. (look back at my class pages most of them had these colors.)

Now update it for today.

Can you play.
Bring it to class so we can ooh and ahh.

In the Air!

Seems as if everyone is having challenging things happen right now. It must be in the air, or maybe the way the planets are aligned. Or maybe we need to remember that bad things do happen to good people. Our troubles build character, shape the directions we choose to go, if everything always went smoothly would we appreciate the calm waters?

But, remember there is always a "butt", we need to pull together, find solutions, correct problems, support each other.

Then hand it over to GOD and let him direct us in the right directions. He will handle it, he will make it right, we just need to trust that whatever is happening, with your trust in him he can reverse all the negatives and give you extra blessings for your troubles.

Our Faith results in mercy and grace.

May God bless one and all.

Life

Just when you think you have life figured out it throws you a ball, or maybe a rope or just throws life at you.
Remember my word for this week is balance. The week is almost over. AND... Eating well, sleeping okay, no excersice, no yoga. House is a mess, haven't cooked much. Didn't do anything on my to do list. Talked on the phone most of yesterday. Did work on scrapbook pages. NO BALANCE.

Today I need to attend a basketball game for a pre teen, a baby shower and a funeral.

That sure is balancing. Birth Life Death

Life Live Balance.

Oh well it is what it is. Its not the destination but the journey.

Just a little bit of family information.
Ashley is trying to potty train the boys, wish her luck and send up prayers.
Bethany wrecked the jeep in Wisconson. She is fine, the jeep is totaled, WI still has more snow and ice than we have : ).

Procedures

When it is someone you care about how do you handle the proper channels.

Yes I do understand policies and procedures, I do understand the reason for rules and regulations, I really do understand the people being in charge of handling situations not wanting to take the brunt of my anger. But isn't there always a but, then do your job, if it is explaining to me how you have to do it. Explain. Then give me somewhere to go, somewhere where there is a solution. If my tax monies are paying your salary you don't have to take my abuse, but you do need to answer my questions.

The solution can't be call _______, and when you do call __________their solution is to call ______, and then we are in a catch 21 and no one is there to help me.
In the mean time it is me and my family that is suffering, not the person who creates the kaos or the one who does the damage.

Do you understand, I wasn't raised this way, I really do not understand this happening, can not for the life me figure our how someone can do THIS. So I really do not know how to handle this,
I don't have the resources or know where to find them.

I can't afford to loose anymore time from work, because of the antics of others, other creating havoc with my life, my family. The time it takes to follow the proper channels to protect those I love.

I started writing this about a specific situation I have found myself and someone I care a great deal about being involved with.
I am so appalled at what is going on, even though I know it isn't as bad as it could be, it is bad, and it just seems like there are no solutions.
We definitely need to bring some support to mid Americans along with the lower class ect.

White Trash?

Well I finally figured out my problem.
I am white trash.

We love tuna casserole, jello salads, baked spam and cheese sandwiches, navy pea soup. I have lived in a trailer, mobile home, a two bedroom home, with three children? Wow

I am so appalled at some of the attitudes of our younger generations. We have really spoiled them. They can not lower themselves to some of the economical ways to live.
They are so full of themselves, if they can't make it on there salaries, the government will take care of them. WIC, Healthy Start, Food Stamps, Work help programs, even student loans.
Then the real world starts and they have to pay back, and programs are cut and they don't have money for their nails or their hair or there beer. Poor babies.

I am so fortunate that I am white trash.

Do you remember all the trends in scrapbooking in the last decade?
Here is a list that I collected from some other places. I put them in alpha order instead of in order of year that they were popular. Do you remember any I didn't.

Remember when ______________ were/was all the rage?

Every layout had a page topper, a journaling square, an embellishment spot and all the pictures were matted. And that is how we taught you to scrapbook.

Words

Well of course after choosing my word for the year, I have had many other words come into my mind saying, CHOOSE ME!
I have to tell them that I have already decided on JOY for my word. They are still staying forward in my mind, trying to make me change my mind. So I have decided to have a word every week along with the word of the year. Now I might have to modify this as time allows. So I have a bit of catching up or I could just skip the first week or maybe start the second week or I could start today and keep this word for the next week also.
Decisions. I have such a problem with choosing these days. Indecisive. See there are two words I could choose. But for this week and next I think I will choose

Random thougths I found on a message board.

Random Thoughts for the Day:
1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.
10. Bad decisions make good stories.
11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.
13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.
14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this -- ever.
15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?
16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.
17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
18. My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what would happen if you ran over a ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?
19. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
20. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.

My Words

I am still struggling with finding my "word" for 2010. I am going all over the place trying to figure out wish direction I want to work on the most.

Words are powerful and it is important to take care of our words. Remember the sticks and stones will break you bones but words will never hurt you. Wrong! Words can hurt or help.

So I think this year because I have worked so hard last year on being an Optimist instead of a Pessimist, I think I will use

JOY

What would be better but to find some joy in everything I come in contact with.
To be joyful in everyday things.

So did you figure out your word for this year.

Finished

Well I finished the pages for January's class. The kits are made and ready for class. Cindy stopped by to crop and helped me get them all put together and organized.
Now she doesn't realize when I forgot to put something in one of the kits, I have her to blame: o. No seriously she was lots of help and we enjoyed catching up. Thanks Cindy.
We also watched Julie and Julia. I think it is a cute movie with some interesting info I didn't know.

I also got a couple of the pages designed for Februarys class. Just need to figure out one more page to be completely caught up. With tax season starting I want all of this to be done way ahead.

Year in Review

New Year 2010!

Can you believe it?

Have you done a review for 2009.

Divide last year into quarters and write down what happened to you for that period.
Kind of like a quarterly family holiday newsletter.

You don't want to forget the important events, or most importantly the not so important things.

Those four pages of quarterly events would make 4 great scrapbook pages. Or even just a double page spread of the year in review.

deb
Still don't have the sketches done, but the pages are designed and two sets are finished.
Promise to have some sketches by the end of the day.

Kim Komando recommend this web site today. I think it has lots of info on it plus recipes for quick meals.

Check it out.
