Class Kits

Look thru magazines and internet for inspiration. 2 to 3 hours
Decide on sketch, either one I have or make one. 1/2 hour
Decide title
Choose patterned paper 1/2 hour to 3 hours
Choose cardstock to match patterned paper 1/2 hour to 3 hours
Figure costs to see if there is moneys to add embellishments.
Choose embellishments can take two days.

Make sample page 1 hour

Write out measurements and cutting diagrams, decide if I cut 2 to 4 hours per layout or if they cut (1/2 hour of writing instructions and proofing them)
Cut out letters from cricut for titles
Design background papers on computer
Play around with circles and cut them
Stamp until it works
The above can take all month
Stack in individual stacks for each student, and then place in bags.
Write instructions to tell or give to students. at least 1 hour.

Decide layout needs something else and add but forget to put it into some of the bags.

So this is a rough draft of how I do page kits for classes.

  1. I can handle all the assembly and cutting I just have such a hard time picking out the design and papers!!!

  2. I usually do better if I have photos in mind, but sometimes that doesn't work with class kits, I use to beable to find a lot on the internet but so much of it is not there anymore. And all of the "artists" use gobs of crap and one photo which I just don't think it is feasable in a large amount of our pages to only place one photo on a page.
