Homemakers Camp

I know some of you have been hankering for a weekend retreat for scrapbooking. You need to check out the Craft and Leisure Camp held at Widewater Retreat, the second weekend in August. There is much more than scrapbooking but if if you want scrapbooking only it is here also. We have 4 scrapbookers and 1 cardmaker here this year. Now not that there aren't many more but most of us participate in many of the offerings. The scrapbookers have a table of there own in a seperate room from the dining hall. Cost this year was 110 for Friday at 2 until Sunday morning. All meals included, bring snack foods and twin size bedding. Sleep is in a dorm room of 7. You can come on Thursday, cost is a little more, not sure what tho, you would get breakfast and lunch on Friday if you sign up for Thursday also.
I choose to skip Thursday this year, but have already made a Twisted Paper Angel, a felted candle mat, a sticks game. I will be doing the basket today. There are several other craft items offered today. Last nights supper was Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Green Bean Medley, Rolls, Tossed Salad, Jello Cake, Cookies.
Missing those of you who couldn't make it, hoping some of the rest of you check it out for next year.

  2. Hope you can next year, it was so relaxing, The scrapbook section is picking up think there were 5 or 6 scrapping. They doubled the size of the scrapbook room, so there is plenty of space.
