Move Move Move

Making progress, slept better last night, might be because I actually got up and did something yesterday.

Hope to accomplish something today.

What's on your plate? Are you doing anything?
What foods are you making for the season?
Any specialities you only make at the holidays?

Contest
Post a recipe, of a favorite holiday food, under this post and you will get a ticket for a door prize at club on Wed. (forgot to give it out at last months class).
Come on it only takes a minute to post. I know you guys are great cooks.
There is only three of you reading the blog so you have a great chance to win.

Oh by the way, I have had scrappers block for ages, can't design a thing. I think it is over. The ideas are going thru my head now, when I don't even have time to attempt to put them on paper. Hopefully they will still be there in January: }

  1. When I was a kid, I remember Mom"s wonderful fudge and it made five lbs. I probably made the fudge for 30 plus years but when it was me eating 1/2 - 3/4 of the fudge, I decided it was time I quit making it. I try to make sugar cookies at Christmas and here is the recipe I like.

    Sugar Cookies

    3 Cups Sugar
2 Cups Crisco Oil or any oil
2 Cups Buttermilk with 2 Teaspoons baking soda
    4 eggs
    6 Cups Flour
    6 Teaspoons Baking Powder
    3 or 4 Teaspoons Vanilla
    1/2 to 1 Teaspoon Salt

    1) Put Buttermilk and Soda together
    2) Sift flour and baking powder together
    3) Mix sugar, oil and eggs with mixer, alternate adding buttermil and flour.
    4) Add vanilla.

Drop by Tablespoons on floured cookie sheet. Each time scrape off flour and add new. Sprinkle with sugar on top.
Bake at 450 degrees for 6 minutes
